Terms and conditions

Please ensure you read our Terms & Conditions carefully before proceeding to the booking.  Bookings are only accepted for the party named and are not transferable.  

Rental payment

Each property is priced according to spaciousness, location, services and season. Rates are established for weeks depending on the duration of your stay and number of occupants. Rental cost includes, water, electricity, gas, personal towels, bed linen, accommodation and its amenities.  

Eco-Contribution Scheme 2016: 

The Maltese Government has introduced the eco-contribution Scheme in the Tourism Industry and will be in active as from 1st June 2016 .  An additional of €0.50c per person per night up to a max of 10 nights is to be paid upon arrival at the property. The scheme is open for adults over 18 years only. 

Accessibility and Maintenance

During your stay we may need to access the property for various reasons, mainly maintenance issues which includes pool cleaning and other services issues.  We reserve the right to access the property at any time during the booking but the guest will be notified prior to out visit. where possible. Some properties request a non-refundable fee of €50 for maintenance and services. 

Deposits and Fees

All prices are in Euros.  Typically, you will be required to pay a non-refundable From 35% To 50% (Depends on which properties) deposit to confirm the booking. The balance is due From 8 weeks to 4 months (Apartments on arrival) prior your arrival. We accept payment through IBAN bank Transfers and PayPal. ( Bank Transfer charges are incurred and payable by client) Alternatively Credit cards are accepted.   Please note that paying by credit card incurs a transaction charge of 3%.   A Security refundable  deposit for the property is requested upon arrival to cover for ‘breakages and damages’ which is subject to a satisfactory property inspection. Security Deposit is refunded by Paypal or Bank Transfer. There is no Cancellation Policy and the final payment is not refundable.  Booking Insurance Policy is recommended.

For the Return deposit  (Breakages and Damages) we need the Clients name, the IBAN (long number) and BIC code.

You may pay by:

  • Credit Card - The fastest way to book is by credit card. NB We only accept VISA or MASTERCARD. Please let us know and we will e-mail or fax you with a Credit Card Form. NB All Credit Cards carry a 3% charge. If you wish to avoid this and are booking in advance you can pay by Bank Transfer through your local Bank.
  • Bank Transfer - Usually by SWIFT. We will send you SWIFT Code + bank details.
  • Personal bank account cheques are not accepted

 

The security deposit will be returned to the client after the rental period and within the week following the rental period and as long as:

  • The keys are to hanged inside near main door or in the key safe provided.
  • Not to leave the property in untidy condition including linen stained and towels. 
  • There are no losses (keys) or damages reported by or to the Owners.  Charges apply for lost keys
  • The use of the electricity and water are within the units provided for the week stayed at the property

Holiday Letting Malta do not accept any liability for injury, or losses or damage to the personal property of the Client of for any claims by any third party as a result of actions by the Client or other person occupying the property during the rental period.  The Client is responsible for taking out adequate insurances to cover all risks.  This also applies to people visiting the property as guests of the Client.

Booking

Following payment of the reservation, you will receive an e-mail confirming the booking details and enquiring about the time of arrival. The total number of occupants (adults and children) must not exceed the number of beds available. It is strictly forbidden to accommodate more people than those indicated in the reservation document of the Villa. Extra persons are at extra cost. Breaching the contract will render the booking void and all payments paid will be lost. 

In such events were we accommodate guests in our villas to have their wedding organised here in Malta, it is strictly forbidden making use of the villa with a large number of people or guests for events or parties. The number of people must not exceed the number on the booking contract.

If you change your booking

If you alter the number of people on your reservation, there is no recalculation of the holiday cost.  Guests making the reservation, must pay full payment.  It is advisable to have travel insurance, in case you have to cancel your holiday, alter the booking (guests not travelling in case of illness or change of mind) or anything you may need to claim whilst on holiday.  The company will not be held responsible whatsoever for ANY injuries, healthcare, accidents whether minor or serious, whilst at the property or outside the property during your stay.

Cleaning

Prior to your arrival our team will work carefully to clean the property thoroughly. Nevertheless the villa should be left tidy after your departure. If the property is left dirty a charge of €100 is incurred to cover costs of the cleaning.  Pool towels are to be requested for pool use.  No personal towels to be used for outdoors.  Please get your own beach towels or you can request by us.at no cost.

Maid Service once weekly for stays of 2 weeks and over.

Key Handover

You may check into your property between 15.30pm and 8pm.  Check-out is at 09.30am. A safety key box holder is placed outside the main door for your use with access of a code.  If you have booked transport through us, the driver will be informed and sent on time on your arrival.   In such cases you will meet the owner on your arrival. After your holiday has ended please leave keys inside the property.  Any lost keys are charged at €50.

Rules

You can enjoy your holiday but be respectful to the neighbours.  No loud partying can be held in the villas or any other properties and the maximum number of persons booked is not to be exceeded, unless this is approved by the owner of the property. No after wedding parties are allowed.  Breaching this condition the villa will be vacated immediately and the persons shall leave the property at once.  In case of a breach of these conditions, the property will have to be vacated immediately and any payments will be lost.  Indecent behaviour and disturbing the neighbours or receiving complaints from them, due to excessive noise during your stay, will be considered reason enough to retain your Security deposit and guests are required to leave the property at once.  Villas are private, however Topless sunbathing is not allowed.  The allocated times between 8pm till 8am is strictly not permitted swimming in the pool.   The area in the neighbourhood is quiet.  The Villas has a strict NO PETS  and NO SMOKING  policy. Breaching this condition will render the booking void and all payments will be forfeited to cover the cost of any extra cleaning necessary and/or dry cleaning of soft furnishings.

Optional Extras and Services:  

  • Wi-Fi is payable extra
  • Air-conditioners is chargeable extra.  Some properties have a pre-paid card use installed.  Cards not used (not inserted in the card Meter) will be refunded.
  • Please remember to turn off the air-conditioning and other electrical appliances every time you go out. Water/Electricity should be used responsibly. Upon arrival at property clients are given water/electricity readings. ( For information use only)
  • Exceeded a considerable usage consumption of electricity is charged extra at goverment unit rate.

Wifi is available in all properties.  Please inquire for upon arrival for the access code.  All internet connections have a fair usage policy in place and have a maximum download allowance.  For general use is enough (emails and surfing) but may not be sufficient to download large files, movies, etc.

HolidayLettingMalta will not be held responsible in the eventuality of a burglary or robbery at the villa.  Please it is important that you have your own personal insurance.  You will not be covered against loss or damage to personal items or injury to yourselves and any of the other members.

HolidayLettingMalta will not be responsible for the lack of internet supply due to reasons beyond our control.
